I've Been Sick

These past two weeks I've been sick, the first week was more of a series of unfortunate events that I don't want to get into mostly because I was unconscious throughout a good chunk of it and the chain of events is hazy. This past week it turns out I've had strep throat and it hit me hard, I actually went to the doc on Monday but tested negative for the rapid test and wasn't able to get meds till Wednesday night so I've been miserable.

While I've been sick I have started the true sickness...playing Magic The Gathering Arena again. I've tried playing MTG multiple times but I bounced off of it multiple times because I just....kept getting curb stomped in matches. Even when I wasn't playing I kept it as a side interest that I would check in on from time to time. I will give Wizards of the Coast this, their marketing for the new card pack Lorwyn Eclipsed worked on me. By the time it made it's way to Smosh Games I was hyped to start playing again.

I'm doing a lot better in MTG arena and am really enjoying it. I'm not good enough to do the insane stuff people are able to pull off but I do respect those who can. For instance, MTG had a cross over release last year with Final Fantasy and there is one card that is ridiculous but extremely funny....the Jumbo Cactaur.

So basically this card attacks with 10,000 damage which, as I said, is extremely funny. Anyways, I played against someone who pulled this card out and I was so busy trying to figure out what I should block with so I can try and attack next turn that I didn't realize they added a spell to give the cactuar lifelink. To those who don't play, lifelink means that whatever the damage amount on the creature with it is, is how much life they will get back which lead to this....
At which point you just have to laugh, even if I had anything to hit with I know I don't have anything in my deck that could do that much damage.
